I dont know if anyone has noticed but the Days of Shiny Lorries and Truck Spotters outside the Gates are long gone for Eddie Stobart Logistics and many of us in the Trade have wondered how its managed to survive this long . Financial Shenanigans have long been a part of this Firm even prior to its Purchase of Southend Airport which was financed by the Public Side before being transferred into the Private Side ?? Robert Maxwell had nothing on these boys . Tinkler a very financially astute Man and the Son in Law of Eddie Stobart Snr now feels he can pick the Business up cheaply as opposed to the Venture Capitalists who will inject Capital , hopefully resurrect the Business and sell it to the highest bidder . I notice this week that Stobart is now Hauling for Amazon which will be Poorly Paid , Tesco they have secured for another Year , the Car Transportation side will doubtless be flat on account of Industry cutbacks , its hard to see an upside . In my view the Company is probably best of with Tinkler as at least he has an affinity with the Business , though in what Form who knows
